Several high-profile Bitcoin Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) applications are currently under review by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), according to Decrypt. Firms such as Fidelity Investments, SkyBridge Capital, and WisdomTree Investments have submitted applications in hopes of launching Bitcoin ETFs. These ETFs would allow individuals to gain exposure to Bitcoin without directly owning the asset, making it more accessible to a wider range of investors. The SEC, however, has repeatedly denied previous applications due to concerns over market manipulation and volatility.
